Well, today is potentially a momentous day — it could be the day the Republican Presidential aspirations end for all time. It might be the day we see the Trump empire explode in a shower of ick. It might be (but probably not) the day the Republican party comes to its senses and decides that they’re going to be respectful of all lives. It might be the day a presidential debate happens. It might not be a day of a debate. It might be a day when nobody participates in this open thread because everyone is out beating the bushes for votes.
I will not be available for the discussion because I will be on a day trip up to Estes Park. I have to go visit Rocky Mountain NP and say “Hello” to all the elk in the rut, plus any other charismatic megafauna. I will spend a little time down along Moraine Avenue with the end-of-season sidewalk sale, be the designated driver for my wife and friends as they do “Shot and Shop” — going and doing some shopping as they bar hop their way down the street. maybe watch a little Broncos football, and then spend some time listening to a debate. So, my day will be a bit full.

The weather ought to be very nice, the people you see should be very happy to share their opinions on how unfit Trump is and everyone should be getting excited to get their ballots next weekend. Remind folk, the sooner they get their ballots returned, the sooner the phone calls and door knocks from the campaigns will stop.
