What’s on your minds this morning? On my mind for this AM —
The brave folks in ND protesting the oil pipeline as evictions loom. I woke up early this morning and really had problems all night sleeping because of the recounts. Don’t know why, but this continues to really bother me as an assault on our Democracy. The “don’t know why” is because there’s not much that I can do here from Colorado, but that was disrupting my dreams this morning. Cheers for the mountains finally getting some snow and for winter coming. Concern that I’ve been feeling more cold than in past years — is it due to losing a little of that insulating layer, or perhaps is it because the cold has come more suddenly so I didn’t get used to it? Dunno. This coming cold snap that’s projected to get to zero this Tuesday into Wednesday is going to drop snow and will really hurt folks and animals that haven’t prepared. The upcoming holidays will be the last under Obama. Will this be the last that are good? Will things go downhill slow or fast? I really don’t expect them not to go downhill, and I know a number of folk who are living on the edge who will likely not fare well. Going to have to see what I can do to help them out. Unfortunately, this past fall, I found out one couple chose to end our friendship in a mean way by “going low rather than going high” and that’s illuminated who a couple other friends truly are, and aren’t. Also found out that some friends I’ve had for decades supported Trump, which really has made the friendship strained, at best. It’s just hard to view them as friends if they’re willing to support people like Trump. Just colors so much of the world.↧
