In case you’ve missed it so far, there will be a meetup at my house next Sunday, the 16th from 1-5 PM to meet a state Senator, Representative and Denver City Councilman (perhaps another couple politicians, depending upon availability). The party will be a pot-luck and I’m going to smoke a pork shoulder and a ham. We have someone who has said they’ll bring a pasta salad and another who has said they’d bring buns and a watermelon salsa with chips. We could use appetizers, desserts, drinks and we would welcome people bringing anything they’d want to cook on my grill/smoker.
I’ve advertised this in a few places, including the state Democratic Party’s event calendar — I am expecting around 15-20 folk.
This will be an opportunity to meet fellow Kossacks and progressives as well as the politicians. I’m hoping that you’ll be able to learn about various items at the state and local levels and perhaps how you might become involved in your own corners of the community.
