Just returned yesterday from the memorial service for my father. It, along with the placing of the gravestone for my father and mother, was held in Kansas on Saturday. It has been a very different 2017 from my previous years. The loss of both parents, the loss of my job of a dozen years, the dreadful politicians in Washington plus various other ups and downs, well, I’m not in any hurry to go through a year like this again.
The fall season is in full swing here in Colorado. I guess that gives an opportunity to review the year, take stock of things in preparation for the winter ahead, and perhaps to recommit to priorities that may/may not have been underway this year or in previous years.
How have you folks done on your New Years resolutions? Do you even remember them? Did you accomplish them early and are now on cruise control? Or perhaps is this a reminder you have very little time left to get them accomplished before you have a new series of issues to resolve in 2018? Or do you not play with that whole thing at all?
