Just a few notes on this Monday in January:

Today was the last day to register as a Democrat in order to caucus on Tuesday, March 6th.  You must also be registered to vote in the precinct you want to caucus in by February 5th (four weeks from today).  To register online, go to www.GoVoteColorado.com.

You remember Tom Tancredo, don’t you?  The former US Congressman from my old (prior to redistricting) CO-6 who said that Miami was a hell-hole and people there were living in a “Third World Country”?  Well, he has his eyes set, once again, on running for Colorado governor.  January 17th there will be a forum sponsored by the Colorado Hispanic Republicans, and Tom Tancredo plans to be there if his supporters come up with the $1500 to get him there.  And, of course, some of the top GOP politicians in the state including the GOP Chairman Jeff Hays pledged money towards that goal.  Already set to appear are:

Attorney General Cynthia Coffman, former Trump campaign organizer Steve Barlock, former Parker Mayor Greg Lopez, businessmen Victor Mitchell and Doug Robinson and Saguache County activist Jim Rundberg.

I’m interested that Walker Stapleton, another Republican who is reportedly set to report a record-breaking quarterly fundraising total is not on that dais.  Maybe he’s not going to let it be six to one against him, as these things usually turn into efforts to tear down whoever might be in front.

I hope the Republicans run a very bigoted, anti-immigrant, Trump-loving campaign to help Democrats win extra seats, maintain the governorship, take other state-wide races like Secretary of State, take back the State Senate, and expand the margin in the State House.
