Well, by this time tomorrow evening, the polls will be closed, the ballots will be getting counted, and soon, both major parties will have their champions to go out to do battle across the mountains, valleys, fields and prairies of this great state of Colorado, spending millions on jobs that earn less than 200K/year (no, I’m not counting the benefits).  With those totals are official, we will finally be in the home stretch.  You will no longer be getting calls and mailings from fifteen different campaigns, but instead you’ll be receiving fifteen calls and mailings per night from one campaign (well, per race).

I have held off making contributions or signing up to work for candidates until after the primary races are decided.  I believe I’d be just fine with Johnston, Polis or Kennedy being the next governor of Colorado and since I’m going to vote for the Democrat in every race (or the most progressive person if the race is non-partisan), I figured I could let the candidates sort themselves out with the help of the rest of the state.  A few weeks back when I asked about who people were backing, there didn’t seem to be too many impassioned voices, other than a general agreement that warm lickspittle is better than any Republican running for office.

There is going to be a large rally this Saturday morning in downtown Denver and probably in a few other locations around Colorado.  Leftcandid is going to be working on putting together some rideshares or light rail groups to try and go down for the rally/march in Denver.  It’s much easier to meet up if you actually plan where to meet and when.  Please get hold of him through his Kosmail or let me know how to reach you and I’ll get the two of you together.

As always, this diary is yours to share and comment on whatever is of interest to you.  Enjoy!
