I mean, electorally, what are you working on? And in terms of activism, what are you doing? What groups do you work with? Where do you spend your time, money, and energy?
I’m a little burned out this evening, hence the late and short post. I went to two demonstrations yesterday and Monday about the #FlintWaterCrisis (#ArrestGovSnyder) for good measure. I have some photos, but I need to ask one of my demo companions for hers.
I am heartsick over this catastrophe, infuriated by Snyder’s crocodile tears over it, and disappointed that there is not even more pushback against him. What ARE we going to do to take our state back, for real?
I’m all ears. Share with us what you are doing to make a difference here, or what you think we as a local Kossack group should focus on together. Make a pitch. But please, I beg you: let this be a presidential candidate-free zone for tonight at least. NO Dem president can get the Republicans out of our state house, senate, supreme court, or state-wide offices. That’s up to us.
I hope to have more to report on Flint in the next couple of days, but no promises. Other obligations are pressing. And, tragically, the Flint disaster is not going away any time soon….
