I’m not saying this is Colorado’s #1 issue that requires the attention of the recently re-elected Congresswoman from eastern Colorado, but apparently she thinks alien cities on the bottom of the ocean and DNA experimentation is that important.
For more on the story, turn to Kyle Clark of NBC’s local 9News in Denver. His piece on Lauren Boebert begins about 13:47 in to the video.
The end of this piece also has some comments from audience members on her priorities. I think District 4 has gotten the candidate they voted for.
While I was in Egypt, my girlfriend did some research on places we were visiting. She watched videos in Thai because English was a bit tough for her to understand. I had to explain to her that stories of aliens helping build the pyramids and some of the rest of what was on the History Channel was pure bunk, and I think my sister and I got that across, but man, it was easy for her to fall down that rabbit hole.
Ten ways Trump’s presidency may affect Colorado.

Are four-day school weeks helping or hurting K-12 education in Southwest Colorado?
Racist incident at 5 Guys restaurant costs an employee his job after he posts video to defend himself and someone else modifies it. Yet another snowflake is upset about being exposed for being a racist mofo and the wrong person is fired. Of interest to me is this snowflake’s partner was also filming and she appears to be Asian in heritage. So some races are okay, I guess.
Governor Polis stepped in deep doodoo when he praised Trump’s selection of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as Secretary of Health and Human Services. Here is a follow-up to try and explain Polis’ reasoning.
A second article (following the one from the Colorado Sun) about the Space Command’s future. If you get prompted for an email address from the Gazette, entering one will get you access without having to subscribe. Vince Bzdek lays out a few ways Colorado might be able to persuade Trump (and minions) not to move the Space Force to Alabama.
A wake, a strategizing session, a check-in or something else?
When we held a meetup in Denver back in August, we discussed having another meetup after the election to run down the results, discuss the new Harris administration and whether Trump was ever going to concede this time. We thought about three weeks after the election would be a good recovery period. Well, that would place it during the week leading up to Thanksgiving, and so that isn’t likely a good date. Would you like to hold another meetup in this wintery time, or should we put it off for a few months? Should we hold it in Denver again or have it in another location? Please suggest where and if you can help with recruiting participants and a location.
If you have no place you’d rather be for Thanksgiving…
I am hosting Thanksgiving for people who would like a place to be on Thanksgiving. I always like to cook a full Thanksgiving meal because I like leftovers. Last year worked out well with a beer can turkey cooked in my smoker, root vegetables in the cooking tray with the juices, stuffing, homemade cranberry sauce, giblet gravy, mashed potatoes, homemade apple pie and ice cream, and maybe one or all of the following: homemade rolls, something green to make the whole meal healthy, a pumpkin pie, various juices, wine and or alcoholic beverages (I have a apple cider and bourbon drink). If you would like to come, please let me know in the comments. I have a couple of commitments already and I will take up to ten, including myself.

Until next Monday, the floor is yours...
