Colorado State Open Thread - Who said Spring had Sprung?

Well, this is a little late, but my power just came back on.  Sorry, but trying to write this on my phone allowed me to do many things but not actually put the diary text in.  I tried all sorts of things, but DK5, well, ahem.

Here is what things looked like at my house yesterday:

Daffodils, Crocuses, some small flower (Asteroidea?), hyacinths (which don’t do well in cold and snow) and lots of tulip bunches getting ready. The snow of course buried these guys completely

The flowers on the apricot and the peach?  Probably ruined.  I’ll see, but the apricot actually was bent over from the weight of the snow on top of the fabric I put down to protect from the snow and cold.  I really had hopes for fruit this year.  Some tree limbs snapped on a crabapple and there were plenty of trees really weighed down by this wet, heavy snow.  More Saturday and early next week, so I hear.

Denver was supposed to get 4-6 inches or so.  Today, they projected 12-18, depending upon where you were.

Yes, I know this blog is supposed to be political, but this is climate change, or something.  Anyway, this is what is on my mind tonight.  What’s on yours?
